ELMOT DG SETS, HYDERABAD

ELMOT Alternators Pvt. Ltd. manufactures diesel generator sets (DG Sets) in their workshop in Hyderabad. These DG Sets are installed in India in various cities and remote locations. MCARTech implemented a remote monitoring and predictive diagnostics system in order to ensure the high availability and reliability of the DG sets. A constant and focused vigilance on the operational and equipment parameters enables ELMOT and their end-users to prevent any unplanned stoppage by intervening and taking corrective action in advance and hence plan the inspection and maintenance in a timely manner. Our solution consists of a combination of customized hardware and software developed as per the customer requirements. The data is acquired from the equipment in realtime and transmitted to a cloud database through the internet (LAN, GSM, GPRS). The acquired equipment data is utilized for realtime equipment condition monitoring, data analysis and notifying failure events to the facilities manager and the management, in advance. The implemented solution is very reliable and cost effective comprising of industrial grade hardware and a robust software.

PWC building DG Sets, KOLKATA

The PwC buildings in Kolkata consist of Kirloskar and Cummins DG Sets which are used to supply emergency power to the building in the event of a power outage from the city electricity board. Hence, the availability and reliable operation of the DG sets is essential. MCARTech implemented a remote monitoring and predictive diagnostics system in order to ensure the high availability and reliability of the DG sets. NIS FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM, KOLKATA

NIS Management Services and MCARTech Inc performed due diligence on the systems installed in the Coal India facility in Kolkata. The details of the fire detection and extinguishing systems were analyzed from a mechanical, electrical and instrumentation standpoint. Potential Failure Modes were analyzed and their detection logics defined. The source of the signals required to develop the diagnostic logic resides in the electrical panels mostly. MCARTech extracted those signals safely from the existing electrical panels and BMS databases. The Sprinkler and Hydrant headers at the floor level required measurement of pressure utilizing pressure switches. Also, the header isolation valves and drain valves required sensors to indicate its open/close positions. For this reason, MCARTech installed pressure switches with isolation valves on the floor header outlets. All the signals thus acquired, were processed through Remote Terminal Units, ALERT Gateway and finally to the ALERT cloud for diagnostics. Diagnostic results are being delivered to NIS Management Services staff via smart mobile devices for their prompt response in the case of emergency and predictive information for advance planning of maintenance. The 24×7 monitoring of the fire system by ALERT, ensures that the system is fully operational and water is available in case of a fire. The system is running in auto mode all the time with no human intervention. This project has many implementation in a building management system like commercial complexes, malls, multiplexes, restaurants, corporate office buildings, large residential complexes.
